Practice areas

Five areas, five pages. You will find the situations we handle, how we work, and above all the statutory deadlines that cannot be recovered once they have passed.

01

Employment law

We advise employees and employers alike, but never both in the same matter.

  • A dismissal you consider wrongful, or notice given during an incapacity for work.
  • An employment reference that is incomplete, late or written in code.
  • Overtime, holidays and public holidays left unpaid on departure.

Employees, managers, SMEs and associations in the canton of Vaud.

02

Family law

A separation is rarely settled well in a hurry. We look for an agreement first and prepare for trial only when it becomes unavoidable.

  • Divorce by joint request, with an agreement covering all ancillary effects.
  • Marital protection measures where the separation is contentious.
  • Shared custody, contact rights and one parent relocating with the child.

Married couples, registered partners, cohabiting couples and unmarried parents.

03

Corporate law

Legal work for an SME happens at the right moment: on incorporation, when a partner joins, on a sale. Afterwards it costs ten times as much.

  • Incorporating a limited liability company or a company limited by shares, articles and commercial register entry.
  • Shareholders’ agreement: exit of a partner, pre-emption rights, lock-up clause.
  • Commercial contracts: general terms, distribution, mandate, subcontracting.

Sole traders, GmbH/Sàrl and SA companies in French-speaking Switzerland.

04

Criminal law

What you say at the first interview follows the whole file. We are reachable before it, not only afterwards.

  • A summons to an interview by the police or the public prosecutor.
  • Objection to a summary penalty order, in road traffic matters in particular.
  • Filing a criminal complaint and following the proceedings as a private claimant.

Accused persons, complainants and victims, road traffic matters included.

05

Tenancy law

Almost every tenancy dispute goes to the conciliation authority first. Properly prepared, that hearing often settles the matter.

  • Challenging a notice to quit and applying for an extension of the lease.
  • Rent increase notified on the official form, or a reduction claimed after a drop in the reference rate.
  • Defects in the premises: damp, heating, noise, rent reduction.

Tenants and landlords, residential and commercial premises.

Check your deadline first

Under Swiss law, most claims are lost for lack of time, not for lack of arguments. Enter the date you received the letter and we will tell you how long you have left.

Indicative calculation based on the date of receipt you enter. Some deadlines are suspended during court holidays or run differently. Have your case checked.
